THE CHAINDA CENTER

Chainda is an unplanned settlement of over 40, 000 people who live in an area is that is approximately a square mile. The average family (six family members) in Chainda lives on $2/day US dollars. There are many children who are orphans raised by sick grandparents that will never have the opportunity of education.

Chainda Health Center Renovated by Christ Life Church

March 25th, 2022|

Chainda Clinic is a government funded clinic that serves over 60,000 people. In July 2020, Christ Life Church reached out to the clinic with donations that helped the clinic staff serve the community better. The Church gave them buckets, washing and cleaning soaps, hundreds of face masks, sprayers for disinfecting the clinic, AA batteries for high blood pressure machines, washing buckets, hand sanitizers, and many other items.

Boy Abused

February 13th, 2022|

While visiting Chainda Slum, Christ Life Church found Micheal.  This young boy had been abused by his mom who had cut off both one of his toes and fingers.  Police arrested the mother and left the child with his sick grandmother. Christ Life Church adopted Micheal and his young sister and started providing food and educational support, as well as medication for the grandmother.

Pastor Mulenga visited The Chainda Center on Christmas day.  Christ Life Church provided 230 meals and shared the good news of the birth of Jesus.

US Team Visits Chainda

October 31st, 2021|

October 2021, a U.S. team visited The Chainda Center and was able to spend time with the children and help feed them.  The children were so excited to meet the American team and the team members quickly fell in love with the children.
