Sipiwe and her daughter Princess were so sorrowful about their life in the Chainda Slum, they had decided to end their lives by drinking poison. They turned on the radio to drown out their cries and heard Pastor Mulenga preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ. Sipiwe decided to call and Pastor Mulenga answered the phone. He counseled her, led her to Christ and later provided her with employment at The Chainda Center as a cook. Now Sipiwe’s daughter attends Christ Life School and is consistently at the top of her class. Sipiwe serves each child at The Chainda Center with love and compassion. She understands the desperate situation of those that live in the Chainda Slum and she now visits with them, cleans them, brings them food and tells them about our Lord.
